NORAD Tracks Santa

Have you ever wonder where is Santa Claus?
Now you'll know exactly where he is.
Thanks to North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)
By the use of it and its affiliations, it can show you where will Santa, be on Christmas.

It all began back in 1955 when a Department Store advertised for a newspaper about calling Santa Claus on their hotline, but the advertiser made a mistake on printing their number. Instead of their hotline  they posted the telephone number of CONAD (now NORAD), while Late Colonel Harry Shoup, USAF, senior officer in charge by then was the one who 1st picked up a phone call of a girl, thinking it was all a joke or something is playing with their lines. Colonel Shoup quickly realized what had happened, by then knows that a child's heart would broke if he'll tell him he got a wrong number, so he told him that he was assisting Santa and he could see him in his Radar leaving North pole.
That's when the tradition was born, and became a huge success. They've been tracking Santa for 54 years now, back then it was through telephone calls and eventually becomes online in the Internet in 1997, not only that, now you can also track Santa using their Google Earth.
This website has received International Internet Awards and worldwide recognitions around the world over the years. What is so great about it is hundreds of volunteers and sponsors are making all of this possible.
To call the Santa Operations Center: 1-877-446-6723; from overseas, dial 719-556-5211.

While waiting, kid's can visit Santa's Village and discover things that are installed for them.

Also, look for Santa's Snack left by children all over the world he visited on Christmas Eve and see what he eats in his journey, also what do reindeers eat during that time.

This is a very inspiring website for me. It's reliving our Santa's in our heart.
Children around the globe and kid's at heart can now experience a whole new meaning of giving, and that reality doesn't only means, "seeing is believing", but believing the spirit of what's Saint Nicholas legacy on giving gifts to the less fortunate means.

"...there is a Santa Claus, he exist as certainly as love, and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy."
-Francis Pharcellus Church

Wow! This Santa tracking idea is indeed a very good idea. Well, aside from the fact it's cute, it promotes the value of sharing.

Well That's quite relevant for this season. I thought they stop doing these stuff during Christmas but I was wrong though. Thumbs up for NORAD in helping Santa keep his way while travelling with sleigh. I wish Santa could give me a fashionable ankle boots for me to stroll this yuletide season. Thanks for the post anyway.

If only my kids were young enough to appreciate this still! If I draw it to their attention now, they will just give me one of those 'Oh Muuuuum!' looks :)
